Nurselog Notes

See the Table of Contents for a full listing of seeds planted in this garden.

Hi my name is C Wess Daniels and I’d like to welcome you to my Wiki I call Nurselog Notes. It is a public notebook posted here in the spirit of sharing ideas and concepts I am working on and think may be of interest to others. This site is inspired by Anne-Laure Le Cunff‘s work over at nesslabs.com.

A Wiki, or sometimes now called a digital garden, is a place in-between your personal notes and final publications on blogs and articles. It’s a place where ideas get worked out, articulated, and grow into something more useful later.

Some of these notes are here for my own reference. Some I put here because I think they may be helpful to someone else. Some are in the process of being pruned. Some are just little seedlings waiting for some sun. Whatever process these notes are in I have found many Mind Garden Benefits. Keep coming back as this site will continue to change and be added to.

I like the image of a Nurse Log because it is a naturally occurring event in the forest provides “ecological facilitation” of growth, allowing for the decay from one living thing to provide life and support to other organisms that are emerging.

Feel free to poke around and discover the fruit of my work for yourself. As a Quaker theologian, my three main areas of interest and interpreting and translating the wisdom of my tradition for the benefit of individuals, communities and justice specially in three areas: Culture and Systems Change, Tech and Pedagogy, and Faith and Practices that Resist Empire.

Here are a few to start with:

Culture and Systems Change

Tech and Pedagogy

Liberation Theology & Quaker Faith
