[...] gathering| inlight.com - » Thoughts on Pedagogy: Does Technology in The Classroom Help or Hurt? I posted on this article the other day, but wanted to repost, because the Wordpress upgrade ate my blog. I’m doing this as much for myself as my readers. Wess has some great thoughts on technology in the classroom here. I often sit in class and wonder what I’m being preached at about. If techno is used at all, it is powerpoint and it is bad powerpoint. There is little creativity to help students get outside their comfort zones.
Jarrod,
Yeah Nancey is great! And Ryan Bolger used that book in his class this fall, so I got to got through it with the students as their teacher's aid. I really like that book and Murphy's two essay's in there are great.

Another great Murphy book is "Beyond Liberalism and Fundamentalism," definately worth a look.

This Barn's guy sounds great and that journal article has really peeked my interest, do you know where that article was published?

And about visiting - let's start praying for 2008!
