Geez Magazine's Ten Reasons for Being an Evangelical

Screenshot 1-7
I stumbled upon Geez Magazine this past quarter as some of the students in our class dug it up for one of their class projects. In looking around I found that I really like what they are trying to do. Think of it as a Christian version of Culture Jam, a well done alternative to a widely popular magazine (and movement?).

In their latest issue they have a short article on Top ten reasons why I like identifying myself as an evangelical which I find to be fun and something I resonate with.

When you get a chance also take a look at their other site De-Motorize Your Soul a good old fashioned bike commuter advocacy site. Read their articleBiking as a Lenten practice.

  1. If I had a top 10 reasons not to be an Evangelical, one of the first reasons would be because Tony Campolo calls himself one.

    I’ll stick with Benedict.

  2. Benedict is too concerned about the salvation of souls to get into a pointless dialogue with Campolo. Their agendas are worlds apart.
